Image of rapper Imp The Great"I'm not a todays rap fan but what you did was give me the feeling that I felt when I first heard Ice Cube and Jay Z. The story kept me engaged and I don't comment often on rappers. I personally think you have what they call "THE X FACTOR". Keep up the great work and you will def go far." - Amayah J "The Voice"

Antelope Valley based rapper "IMP THE GREAT" is an extraordinary rapper who's been around since the beginning yet remains relevant with todays youth without compromise. Imp was influence to rap first and foremost by his Bronx native brother "DJ Flame". Over the years he's been influence by Kurtis Blow, Super Rhymes, Melle Mel, Kool Moe Dee, LL Cool J, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Three Six Mafia, Rifleman, Pemp Kapone, Too Short, Roxanne Shante, Big Krit, Ghetto Boys, Nas, Jay Z, and many more.

He's performed at "The Apollo Theater", "Whiskey-A-Go-Go", "Carlos & Charlies", "The Good Life", "Project Blowed", "AVGB's", "1580 KDAY", "Cooling In Compton", "The Key Club", "Club Shenanigans", and "The Bottom Bash". He's opened up for acts like "The Fat Boys", "Big Daddy Kane", "Slick Rick", "Freestyle Fellowship", "Volume 10" and has worked with the legendary producer DJ Battlecat.

In 1997 Imp battled EMINEM at the Rap Olympics in Gardena California. Imp won one round of the two and looks forward to having the third round someday.

"I love rapping and I'll always do it. I don't like to be placed in a box in regards to what type of rap music I make. Life is diverse and my subject matter often reflects that. I think the rap industry is as great as it's ever been because there's so much diversity and access to music. Anyone complaining that rap all sounds the same should just find an artist they like on the internet and support that artist. If you wait for the radio or TV to play what you like you may never hear it." - Imp

Imp is currently producing a soundtrack for his upcoming film "THE DUPS" and simultaneously working on new music for his spring release. Fans can expect lots of new music, music videos and concert performances from "IMP THE GREAT" in 2019.
